| Türkçe Özet | Tezin konusu, Birinci Dünya Savaşı sırasında 29 Nisan 1916 tarihindeki Kutü'l-Amare zaferi ile esir alınan İngiliz askerlerinin yerleştirildikleri Kastamonu Üsera Garnizonu'na getirilmesinden garnizonun kapatılmasına kadar geçen süreçtir. Sürecin aydınlatılmasında Osmanlı arşiv belgeleri ve esirlerin hatıratındaki bilgiler kullanılmıştır. Tezin giriş bölümünde, tezin konusu ile bağlantısından dolayı, Birinci Dünya Savaşı'nın sebepleri ve Osmanlı Devleti'nin savaşa giriş süreci özetlenmiştir. Birinci bölümde ise Türk-İngiliz ilişkileri ve Kutü'l-Amare zaferi üzerinde durulmuştur.Tezin ana konusunun ele alındığı sonraki bölümde esirlerin Kastamonu'ya getirilmeleri, yerleştirilmeleri, buradaki hayatları ve kampın kapatılmasına kadar geçen zamanda yaşananlar anlatılmaktadır. Bu devre arşiv belgeleri, hatırat ve diğer araştırma eserlerinin ışığında aydınlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. |
| İlgilizce Özet | The subject of the thesis covers the period between the bringing of the British soldiers which were taken prisoner with the victory of Kutul Amare on April 29, 1916 during the First World War to the Kastamonu Prisoners Garrison and the closure of the garrison. Ottoman archival documents and information in the memoirs of the prisoners were used to illuminate events of the period.In the introduction part of the thesis, due to its connection with the subject of the thesis, the reasons of the First World War and the process of entry of the Ottoman State's into the war are summarized. In the first part, Turkish-British relations and Kutul Amare victory were emphasized.In the next section where the main subject of the thesis is discussed; bringing of the captives to Kastamonu, their settlement, their lives here and the events that took place until the camp was closed.
