Özet |
Water resources are among the most crucial natural resources for all living beings. The sustainability of life and vitality is dependent on the presence of water. Water is the fundamental resource for many services such as food security, biodiversity, urban and rural settlements, industrial development, energy production. Such factors as rapid population growth, unplanned urbanization, industrialization, intensive and wrong agriculture activities, infrastructure deficiencies, and improper land use reduce the quality and quantity of water. The problems related to water resources date back to 1950s onwards. Upon recognising these problems on water resources, developing and developed countries have come up with new pradigms on water resources management. These paradigms vary dramatically worldwide.
