| The Cilician Region, which produced commercial amphorae in the Roman and Late Roman Periods, was able to transport especially wine and olive oil produced in its countryside to many regions and cities through the port cities. Elaiussa Sebaste and Antiochia ad Cragum are two of these port cities on the coast of Cilicia, which play an important role in the historical and economic development of the region. Both cities, which entered the process of urbanization in the 1st century AD, gained the identity of amphora producing centers in the Roman and Late Roman Periods. Despite the kiln structures dating to the Late Roman Period, no kiln that can be dated to the Roman Period has been identified, apart from the survey data conducted in the region. However, these data and ceramic finds show that both cities could have a production potential during the Roman Period. The kilns built in and around the Roman Baths document that Cragum continued to produce ceramics after the 5th century AD, in contrast to the Late Roman Period structures in Sebaste. Cities that produced commercial amphora forms which left their mark on the period must have fired kitchen and common wares in the same kilns. Certain groups representing the Roman and Late Roman Periods have been identified in the local and imported forms of the cities. Differences in amphorae are also evident in these forms. The study will focus on the importance of cities in the local production network and their commercial relations through imported finds.
