Özet |
Efficiency can be expressed as the ratio or relation of inputs to outputs. The concept of efficiency frequently used in industry and engineering, but it is neglected in education. It is concluded that there is a need to determine research trends related to efficiency, which is one of the key objectives of instruction. This study systematically reviews the data for performing a descriptive analysis of the literature on instructional efficiency. For this purpose, a total of 733 articles accessed from EBSCO databases was scanned. By considering the efficiency of the individual, cost-oriented studies were excluded and only 259 studies were found suitable for the scope of the research. As a result of the descriptive analysis, the most cited studies, journals with the highest number of publications, the most used keywords, the number of authors, and the countries were determined. Furthermore, articles were evaluated over the years in the fields of method, data collection tools, sample selection method, sample size, and sample level. Primarily, it was naturally concluded that experimental studies with a sample size of 31-100 with purposive sampling were the majority. The principal theoretical implication of this study is that many different parameters that can be used in instructional efficiency calculations. |
