Özet |
Assessments based on Item Response Theory (IRT) have been used for many purposes in educational testing since the decade of the 20th century. Some of these goals are; monitoring the learning process, interpreting the test-takers’ performances, determining the level of students' learning and following the developments' in the learning process. The IRT applications are preferred because of their usefulness in educational measurement applications; thanks to IRT models, the position of the individual in measured latent ability is matched with the possibility of the correct response to the item.
