Özet
Theargument is defined as the whole of contentions that are related to each inother in terms of interference. The argument map serves to visually present thearguments with an inferential structure using graphical techniques. Argumentmaps help individuals visualize and evaluate the process of reasoning. Inlearning environments, argument mapping helps in higher level thinking andestablishing connections between information. The purpose of the study is toenable science teacher candidates to create individual and interactive argumentmaps by using RationaleTM program in the subject of lenses. Theargument mapping process was carried out via the online software “RationaleTM”.The argument maps of “Lenses” sub-section of “Optics” subjects are examined atthe higher education level with the software.
