Özet
Nowadays, air pollution has increased to an extent where it threatens human lives in some cities at a dangerous level due to the effect of industry and rapid developments in technology, and has become a global issue that ends the lives of millions of people every year. Most of the heavy metals, one of the main causes of air pollution, can remain in nature for a very long time without being decomposed and their concentration in the environment is ever increasing. They also tend to bioaccumulate in human, animal and plant structures. Therefore, identification of heavy metal concentration is of great significance in determining the risk zones as well as the risk level. Zink (Zn) is among the most harmful and dangerous heavy metals in terms of their impacts on both living things and ecosystems and included in primary pollutant lists of «Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry».
