Özet |
Ionosphere is inhomogeneous, time varying, anisotropic and spatio-temporally dispersive medium where significant numbers of free electrons and ions are present. These descriptive properties in the ionosphere can not measured directly. The ionospheric variability is based on solar, geomagnetic, gravitational or seismic activities. This spatio-temporal variability is very difficult to characterize because of the wide scales in amplitude, duration, period and frequency of disturbances. One of the major descriptors of the ionosphere is the Total Electron Content (TEC). TEC can be estimated from GPS receivers. This spatio-temporal variability due to solar, geomagnetic, gravitational or seismic activities can cause large-scale disturbances on TEC. Recent studies in the literature have shown that seismic waves can couple to the ionosphere and can cause large-scale waves and wave-like oscillations, known as Traveling … |
