Özet |
Ionosphere is a layer of the atmosphere where significant numbers of free electrons and ions are present. The density of the free electrons in ionosphere cause the irregularities and disturbances in the in the VLF, LF and HF signals, magnetic field of the earth and in the local electric field. One of the main parameters of ionosphere, TEC (total electron content) is defined as the line integral of electron density along a ray path. Many researches would explain the mechanism and cause of the disturbances in the ionosphere. One of these disturbances, namely Travelling Ionospheric Disturbances (TIDs), is defined as the wave-like oscillations that are damped with the time. Atmospheric disturbances can propagate from the lower to the upper atmosphere where they may be responsible for the oscillations in the ionosphere in form of TIDs. TEC makes a convenient means for monitoring and detection of disturbances. In this … |
