Özet |
A region of the upper atmosphere of the Earth is called as the ionosphere that extends from 50 km to 1000 km. Ionospheric electron density is the major point to investigate the spatial and temporal variations in the ionosphere. Total Electron Content (TEC) is the integral of the electron density along the ray-path between the transmitting satellite and the receiver. Global Positioning System (GPS) is tool for monitoring the electron distribution within the ionosphere. One of the most used solar indices is the Sun Spot Number defined to measure the number of sun spots and groups of sun spots on the surface of the sun that appear visibly as dark spots compared to surrounding regions. SSN decreases and increases over a period of approximately 11 years. This study is focused on the analysis of the variations of ionosphere over Turkey during equinox and solstice periods using IONOLAB-TEC estimates obtained by GPS … |
