Özet |
Wood is the most frequently used and inevitable material for interior and exterior usage areas because of its excellent natural and aesthetic aspects and processing easily. The features of wood are unusual compared to almost any other engineering and structural material. However, wood processing industries face to a crisis in obtaining suitable raw materials in sufficient amount because of the depletion of forest resources day by day. Therefore, wood based composite panels such as plywood, laminated veneer lumber, particleboard, MDF and OSB have been manufacturing as substitute for solid wood. In a time of conservation and public awareness of the environment's limitations, the wood composite industry has gained wide acceptance because of its economic use of woodworking residues and generally under-utilized tree species. Forest products industry is a sub sector of manufacturing industry composed of large number of enterprises. This sector has also separated into lots of action groups in itself. Wood based panels industry is an important part of the primary manufacturing industry in the forest products industries. In this study; the production, importation and exportation amount and values of Turkey and Japan between 1999 and 2008 based on the particleboards, fibreboards, wood veneers and plywood panels were compared with the statistically evaluation. |
