Özet |
In this study, WC-Co (88-12) based coating was fabricated on Weldox 700 steel using a high velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) technique. Microstructure, hardness and wear properties of coating produced were investigated. Microstructure and phase formation were examined with optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and X-ray energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). The hardness measurement was taken from the top of the coating. The hardness values of the coatings were significantly higher than the substrate. Wear tests of the substrate and coating layer were made by ball-on-disc method. It has been determined that the coated substrates exhibit a very good tribological performance in comparison to the uncoated substrate. Depending on the load, the wear rate and COF of the coating were much lower compared to Weldox 700 steel substrate. |
