Özet |
Al alloy composites have been increasingly used in recent years in the recent years replacing many conventional metals like steel, iron, etc. in the field of automobile, aerospace, marine, high speed trains, etc. In the present work, production of AlCu, AlCu–10% hBN, AlCu–5% B4C+ 5% hBN, AlCu–10% B4C (wt) composites by hot pressing sintering techniques were studied. The composites were produced under a pressure of 35 MPa, at 550 C, and for a sintering time of 3 minutes. Hardness values were measured by hardness device. The relative densities of the composites were measured by Archimedes’ principle. Microstructure of composites were determined by optical microscope and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The results showed that addition of B4C and hBN increased the hardness of composites. |
