A Thematic Analysis of Graduate Theses on Comparative Education in Turkey: Reflection from Mathematics and Science Education Fields

| Özet |
| This research aims to reveal a thematic analysis of comparative education graduate theses in the fields of Mathematics and Science Education in Turkey. Within the scope of this study, a total of 60 graduate theses, 23 of which are in Science Education and 37 in Mathematics Education, in the database of the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) National Thesis Center, were examined. The study's findings indicated that the body of comparative education research in Turkey had grown, especially in the last ten years. Also, findings revealed that comparative education studies mainly used middle school and high school levels as the sample, the North American and European countries in terms of the countries compared, the horizontal and qualitative approaches as the methodological approach, the curriculum and exams as the data collection tools, and the document analysis method as the research design. The results were discussed with relevant literature, and suggestions were provided accordingly. |
