| Özet |
| The study was conducted to determine academicians' perceptions of and views on social gender roles. In this research, the phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research models, was used. The study group were the academicians who were working in universities located in various provinces in Turkey and who were volunteer to participate in the research. In the study, purposive sample type from non-random sample types were utilized. In this research, five questions about gender were asked to the academicians as a means of data collection. The questions were prepared with Google Docs and collected via e-mail and Facebook. The study group consisted of 71 academicians in total. The collected documents formed the main data source of the research. The data obtained in the research were analyzed by content analysis.
