| The expression styles of artists are in various fields of art when they form their works. While the artists are working on different fields of art, they produce artistic comments with the help of historical or contemporary events and phenomenon. These comments are made with suitable telling styles of the artist. Metaphor and metonym which are important concepts in formation of artistic language, take place in expression styles of many artists. Metaphor is closely related to simile. Metaphor is described as using a word or concept in different meanings unlike its usual meaning. Metonym is called as a term to tell features or parts of an object instead of to tell itself.In this announcement, the works of chosen contemporary ceramics artists are analysed in terms of metaphor and metonym concepts.
