Özet
From the ancient times to nowadays plants were known to be used for the treatment of numerous diseases. With the widespread use of antibiotics in the treatment of diseases for the past 30-40 years, pathogenic microorganisms have been reported to gain resistance to antibacterials. Due to development of resistance to antibiotics, investigation of the effects of therapeutic agents found in plants has become increasingly important. Cotinus coggygria Scop (Tetra) plant, which grows in the Thrace Region in our country, southern and southeast Europe has been used in traditional treatments for people living in different geographies.
