Özet
In this study, a total of 150 chicNen meat samples (50 thighs, 50 wings, 50 sNinless breast) which were sold in Samsun province in pacNaged form collected between SeptemberYDecember 2018 and were analyzed in terms of Salmonella spp. In this context; i) Salmonella spp. were identified according to classical culture technique, ii) Confirmation of the isolates and serotyping were performed by PCR, iv) Phenotypic antibiotic profiles of the isolates were determined by disc diffusion test. According to test results; 51 of 150 (34%) of the analyzed samples were contaminated with Salmonella spp. Distribution of contamination according to the sample type was as follows; 25 (50%) of thighs, 13 (26%) of wing samples and 13 (26%) of sNinless breast. In the serotype distribution, from 152 isolates obtained from 51 positive samples, 131 of them found as S. Infantis and 21 of them found as S. Virchow. According to antibiotic resistance tests; 70 isolates (46.05%) were resistant to ampicillin, while the number of isolates resistant to chloramphenicol, sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim, streptomycin, tetracycline, gentamicin, ciprofloxacin and cefotaxime were 62 (40, 78%), 38 (25%), 36 (23, 68%), 28 (18, 42%), 28 (18, 42%), 26 (17, 10%) and 22 (14, 47%) respectively. Multiple antibiotic resistance profiles were determined in 12 of Salmonella spp. isolates. High rates of Salmonella presence always poses a risN to human salmonellosis. Strict compliance with hygiene rules in poultry slaughterhouses and shredding units will help to eliminate the problems.
