Özet
With this research, it is aimed to analyze the theses on scientific reasoning in Türkiye and to reveal what kind of orientation there is in this field. Within the scope of the research, theses were accessed from the YÖK National Thesis Center database. Theses titled “Reasoning” and “Education and Training” were scanned and included in the meta-synthesis study of 73 postgraduate theses. The purpose, subject area, method, sample, data collection tools, teaching practices used, statistical methods used, results and suggestions of the research were examined by making content analysis for each of the theses. Within the scope of the research, the aims of the theses were examined and the themes of determining and developing the reasoning skill, the variables affecting the reasoning skill, the effect of any application on the reasoning skill, the relationship of the reasoning skill with other variables, scale development and curriculum review were examined. In the studies conducted, it is seen that the number of experimental studies and screening studies is high. In addition to these, case study, which is one of the qualitative methods, was used extensively. It is seen that skill tests are mostly used in the studies. In studies using quantitative approaches, it has been seen that parametric tests are used more than non-parametric tests. Analysis techniques such as content analysis and descriptive analysis were used in studies using qualitative approaches.
