| In this study, Tribolium confusum Jacquelin du Val, 1868 (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) lines were selected as live material and they were used for quantitative trait locus analysis. The two of T. confusum lines were selected randomlyand they were used for breeding process. During the experiments, the insectswere held in the medium consisting of 95% flour and 5% yeast mixture whichwere placed in the incubators adjusted to suitable moisture and 32.5° C temperature. Pupal weight for the selected marker loci was examined whether therewere effective on quantitative traits. The examination of the differences between pupae weight of generations were analyzed by ANOVA in Minitab 16statistical software package. A significant difference in the pupal weight between these lines was not found. According to the results, it was concluded thatthe material used in this study was inconvenient to detect a quantitative traitlocus and a mapping study. Still, in terms of examining for the implementations of methods further hybridizations and analysis could be carried out. |
