Pre-Service Teachers’ Career Adaptabilities: It’s Relationships with Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy and Career Barriers

Özet
The aim of this study is to investigate the pre-service teachers' career adaptability with career decision making self-efficacy and career barriers. The study group of this study constitutes a total of 220 preservice teachers who are studying at a public university in Turkey. The data were collected with Career Adaptability Scale, Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Scale and Perceived Career Barriers Scale. A multiple regression analysis technique was used to analysis of the data. When the findings of this study are examined, there is a significant relationship between career decision making selfefficacy and career barriers with career adaptability.[R=. 54, R2=. 29, F= 46.084 p<. 01]. Career decision making self-efficacy and carrier barriers explain about 29% of the total assumption of career adaptability. According to the results of the research, pre-service teachers’ career adaptabilities is increased parallel with increasing pre-service teachers’ career decision making self-efficacy. On the other hand, pre-service teachers’ career adaptabilities is decreased parallel with increasing preservice teachers’ career barriers
