Özet |
Forest cutting residues, important raw-material for a lot of products, are used for energy production, animal and poultry feeds or additive for animal feeds, paper, board, chemical, fertilizer and cosmetic industries. The amount of the cutting residues, known foliage, depend on the a lot of variables such as tree species, age and length, crown width and crown length, diameter at breast high, bonited, cutting time. It is obviously known that, the costs of transportation and storage of the forest foliage, contents more bark and leaf ratio than primer wood raw-material, is rather high at present systems. In the concept of this study, the amount of foliage potential at present and annual exposed foliage, decaying in forests, were calculated for Turkey. At the same time the possibilities of transportation and evaluation of these were discussed. Residues left after cutting in forests, are one the most important factors that increase fire and insect damage risk. To decrease the costs of transportation and storage these residues should be transport after chipping or bundling in cutting area. This process sequence will decrease the final product costs. |
