The influence of the 2 different housing conditions called adequate (temperature of 13°C and humidity of 65% with low levels of CO2 and NH3) and inadequate (temperature of 21°C and relative humidity of 85% with high levels of CO2 and NH3) on the milk production and physiological traits of Holstein Friesian cattle were investigated. The effects of the housing conditions were significant for rectal temperature, respiratory rate and pulse rate determined in the morning. The total daily milk yield of the cows housed in the inadequate conditions of the barn was 0.460 kg lower, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The averages for dry matter percentage were also significantly affected by the housing conditions. However, the barn's air conditions did not have significant influence on the milk fat percentage.
