Özet
In this study, the mediating role of emotional labor in the effect of psychological capital on affective commitment was examined based on Conservation of Resources Theory. Therefore, data obtained from 392 teachers using the convenience sampling method. The validity and reliability analyzes made for the scales used in the study. Accordingly, confirmatory factor analysis was performed, explained average variance (AVE) values, compound reliability (CR) values and Cronbachs’ Alpha Coefficients were utilized. Relationships between variables were tested via structural equation model. It was observed that the structural model had acceptable fit values. The findings of the study showed that psychological capital had positive effect affective commitment. It has been determined that deep acting dimension of the emotional labor partially mediated this effect. The research is important because the relationships between these three variables have not been adequately examined in previous studies. It also contributes to the literature in terms of evaluating these variables and their relationships within the scope of Conservation of Resources Theory.
