Özet |
The main purpose of this research is to reveal the opinions of prospective teachers about values and values education. The study was conducted with a case study approach in accordance by the qualitative research method. The case examined in the research is the views of teacher candidates about values and values education. The study group of the research was determined by maximum diversity sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods. In this context, this study was carried out with 25 prospective teachers studying at a public university. The data of the study was obtained from interviews with prospective teachers using semi-structured interview forms. The data of the research were analyzed with descriptive analysis approach. As a result of the research, it was determined that the prospective teachers approached the students in the context of their values. It was also seen that the values of teacher candidates were influenced by different experiences. Besides, they made suggestions about the values and values education process of teacher trainees that education of values should be given as a course in education faculties and in-service training and seminars should be given about cultural values of the provinces where they work. |
