Özet |
A crossed Wernicke's aphasia is a subtype of aphasia due to lesion of the right hemisphere in right-handed subjects. It is rare extremely. In the literature, we did not find a case of isolated crossed Wernicke's aphasia. A 70 years old, righ-handed women presented with impairment of speaking to our emergency service. On admission, the patient was awake. The patient's spontaneous speech was fluent, with paraphasic errors. Her auditory and reading comprehension, naming the objects, and repetition were impaired. Additionally, the patient's writing was also fluent, with frequent errors in grammar. The patient did not have any abnormal motor and sensorial findings. In this paper, we reported a case of isolated crossed Wernicke's aphasia. |
