Özet
The aim of this study was to outline the efficiency of different trauma score systems in determining the prognosis of pediatric trauma. In this study, we conducted the analysis of standard forms of 249 children admitted for trauma during a year period (January to December of 2000), Emergency Department of Ondokuz Mayis University. The results demonstrated that all scoring systems (ISS, RTS, pGKS, TRISS, PTS) were sensitive to prediction of mortality, but also PTS showed higher correlation in assessment of hospitalization (p<0.001) than the other scoring systems. With regard to prognostic quality and easy of use in practical setting, it can be used in emergency departments for evaluating children trauma.
