Özet |
After the World War II, there was a need for labor force in Germany. Upon this situation, it was decided to invite" Gastarbeiter"(guest workers) from other countries. First agreements were made with Italy, Spain and Greece, but these agreements were not enough to meet the need, therefore a labor agreement was signed between Turkey and Germany on October 30, 1961. As a follow-up to the labor agreement, a large number of workers migrated from Turkey to Germany. This migration mobility, which affected many segments of society, also found a place in the subjects of literary works. Abbas Sayar's novel Dik Bayır, published in 1977, deals with the period of labor migration to Germany through the village of Beydiyar in Yozgat.
