Özet |
In this study, the sufficiency of Giresun city parks (43) was discussed in terms of accessibility. Existing parks were evaluated both within the framework of the relevant law, institution and literature resources, and in terms of location, land structure, demographic characteristics, and public transportation opportunities that may have an impact on accessibility. For this purpose, raster and vector data analyzes were performed on the ArcGIS platform. 24 playgrounds, 14 neighbourhood parks, 4 urban parks, and 1 sports area were defined for the city, while the ideal service area radius of the parks were determined to be 200 m, 500 m, 800 m, 800 m, respectively, and the suitable walking distance of 1 minute was calculated to be 80 m. The fact that the parks are at a maximum distance of 4.5 minutes according to the transportation network was determined as a positive result. In addition, according to the final accessibility area of 829 ha, it was determined that accessibility to parks from 65% of the city was provided, but when an evaluation was made in terms of the high-slope land structure, which was seen as the biggest obstacle in ensuring accessibility, the ratio of the area with slopes higher than 8% was found to be 61%. As a result, by drawing attention to environmental factors affecting accessibility, ideal parking standards for the city and a suggested parking map were presented and recommendations to improve the quality of urban life were listed. |
