Özet
This study aimed to streamline the production, visualization, and export of 25 different vegetation indices (VIs) using Landsat 8 imagery via Google Earth Engine (GEE). Leveraging GEE's cloud-based platform, the developed algorithm allows users to define their region of interest (ROI), select a date range, and effortlessly compute and visualize a set of VIs. The algorithm uses the'simpleComposite'function to generate optimal composite images for the desired time period while minimizing atmospheric interference. The easy-to-use interface enables fast decision-making and immediate access to results, reducing time, labor, and computational costs. Future enhancements include extending the algorithm to older Landsat missions (4-5 and 7) and integrating newer data sets such as Landsat 9 and Sentinel-2 for higher spatial resolution. Future modules for time series analysis will provide deeper insight into vegetation dynamics. Overall, this framework provides a comprehensive, scalable solution for vegetation monitoring that adapts to evolving satellite datasets and user needs, representing a significant advancement in remote sensing and environmental analysis.
