Özet
Site productivity, defined as the production amount of the stand at a specific age, has a significant impact on the growth of the stand and site index is used as an indicator of site productivity. The objective of this study is to develop ecoregion-based dynamic site index models for Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) stands in the Kastamonu and Sinop regions of T & uuml;rkiye. The mixed-effects modeling approach allowing for the inclusion of ecoregions in the models was used to develop dynamic site index models, and the models derived from seven base models were tested. The best model was selected based on statistical criteria. As a result of statistical analyses and graphical examinations, the King-Prodan model was found to yield the best predictive results in terms of growth patterns.
