Özet
The crisis and civil war that started in Syria have caused Syrians to leave their homes and seek refuge in neighboring countries as of 2011. Turkey, a neighboring country to Syria, has also become one of the countries most affected by mass migration. In this sense, an open-door policy has been implemented for Syrians since the first migration, and it is stated that there are currently more than 3.5 million registered Syrian refugees living in Turkey. Concerning the impact of such mass migration as a population, long-term integration approaches require comprehensive, holistic, and meticulous policy-making and legal regulations. On the contrary, more cooperation between institutions in different fields such as employment, education, and health is also important to regulate the resulting outcomes.
