Özet |
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the 5E model on elimination of misconceptions of students on the subject of trigonometry in comparison to conventional teaching methods. The study was carried out with an experimental group and a control group, which were equivalent to one another, consisting of students attending the 10th grade at an Anatolian Teacher High School located in Turkey during the 2011-2012 academic year, spring semester. The experimental group consist of 26 students and the control group of, 23 students. Trigonometry was taught to the experimental group in an environment where 5E model activities were used, while the said subject was presented to the control group through current mathematics curriculum activities.
