| Tantrism in HinduismrnIn this dissertation, the historical process of tantrism, theological thought, and practices in Hinduism were examined. This dissertation which discusses the methods of the History of Religions consists of an introduction, three main sections, and a conclusion. In the introduction, information was given about the principles adopted in the dissertation, the main classic and modern works, and the terms that are used.rnIn the first chapter roots, factor that play a role in development and historical process of tantrism. In the second chapter, information about tantrism’s approach the main doctrine in Hinduism was given. In this context god, universe, soul, karma and liberation were examined by comparing them. In the third chapter specific practices in tantrism were discussed. In conclusion part, determinations and evolutions were made based on subjects and given information in the dissertation.rnKeywords: Hinduism; tantrism; tantric; tāntrika |
