Özet |
Objective To evaluate the opinions and practices of ophthalmologists in Türkiye about immediate sequential bilateral cataract surgery (ISBCS) through an online survey. Material and Methods The ISBCS survey was sent to ophthalmologists with accessible contact information in Türkiye. This survey examined ophthalmologists' concerns, case selection, reasons for reluctance, and factors that could potentially influence their practices. Results 169 (43.7%) of the 389 survey recipients participated. 35 (20.7%) participants reported performing ISBCS, while 130 (76.9%) reported not performing ISBCS. 4 (2.4%) participants reported they had previously performed ISBCS but no longer did. Ophthalmologists with over 10 years of professional experience exhibited a significantly higher preference for ISBCS (p= 0.027).
