Özet |
Literature defines “knowledge” as skills acquired through experience or education to provide answers to specific problems. Knowledge-based society is a phenomenon that is based on two determinants: the creation of knowledge and its diffusion. Although it is difficult to produce a specific definition of knowledge, tacit and explicit knowledge are instrumental in the diffusion of innovations in dynamic systems. Michael Polanyi, in his book The Tacit Dimension, argued that tacit knowledge manifests in different terms, tradition, inherited practices, implied values, and prejudgments, which are crucial to scientific knowledge (Polanyi 1966).
