Özet
Introduction: The study aimed to evaluate the data obtained by comparing the bacteriological examination of dairy cattle with subclinical mastitis and the change in somatic cell count, which is used as a quality indicator. Methods: For this purpose, milk samples were taken from a total of 280 randomly selected Holstein breed dairy cattle and from 1120 mammary lobes, which did not show clinical signs of mastitis. The general microbial status of the milk samples was assessed using the California Mastitis Test (CMT) and somatic cell count (SCC), and bacterial species were identified through identification analysis. Results: According to the CMT results, 58 (20.7%) of the dairy cattle were found positive for subclinical mastitis. Of the 232 breast lobes included in the study, they were scored as 82 of them (35,3%) CMT (-), 47 of them (20,3%) CMT (+), 78 of them (33,6%) CMT (++) and 25 of them (10,8%) CMT …
