| Teucrium family members have many biological activities such as anti-oxidant, inflammatory, antiproliferative, antipyretic, etc. however, no evidence about their regeneration capability of stem cells. Our previous researches, which made first in the literature was showed that its anti-cancer activity on the HCT116 and Hep3B carcinoma cell lines. Teacrium orintale L. that is member of Teacrium family also used in the treatment of haemorrhoids between local people in the Samsun province in Turkey. Therefore, it seems that this plant has a therapeutic effect on the gastrointestinal system and tissue regeneration. So that, the aim of this study was evaluation of the proliferative effect of the T. orientale L. on rat mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) in relation to therapeutic features on the haemorrhoids. |
