Özet |
In contemporary society, the conventional conception of education is progressively dissipating, thereby engendering a perpetual metamorphosis in the roles of both students and teachers within the educational process. In this context, the primary responsibility of educators has evolved to encompass the provision of an effective learning environment and the demonstration of the requisite behaviours that align with the overarching objectives (Aslan & Kılıç, 2020). In our contemporary world, where the understanding of education is becoming increasingly complex, effective learning environments and effective teacher behaviours that will provide such environments are the focus of constant research. In this context, the characteristics of teachers, which are of paramount importance in ensuring effective teaching, have been identified as a key element (Pillsbury, 2005). The most effective teachers have been described as those who can maximise student learning and development, while also motivating students in the absence of a perfect curriculum. Conversely, Harrell and Jackson (2004) emphasised that the academic aptitude of the teacher is paramount to effective learning. However, it is challenging to establish a comprehensive framework that encompasses the concept of effective teaching and the behaviours of teachers.
