| Özet |
| One of the biggest obstacles to the development, expansion, and increase in the volume of renewable energy projects is the limited resources that can finance the high fixed costs. Crowdfunding, one of the alternative financing methods, is very important in meeting the emerging financing need. Indeed, with this method, entrepreneurs can find supporters for renewable energy projects more easily and quickly than traditional financing methods. The importance and potential of crowdfunding are increasing daily in today’s world, where energy transformation is mandatory. However, it is seen that the studies on this subject are not yet at the desired levels in terms of both countries and literature. Based on this deficiency, this study aims to reveal the role, potential, and future of crowdfunding in financing renewable energy projects. In this context, the study first provides a conceptual framework and then discusses the potential and future of crowdfunding in the world and Turkey. In addition, examples of successful applications of this financing method and its tax implications are also mentioned. Thus, various inferences and suggestions have been made regarding both its potential and future. |
