Özet |
This study evaluated the profitability performance of renewable energy companies in the 2019-2023 period based on profitability ratios. The study sample consisted of the 10 companies with the highest market values worldwide. Among these 10 companies, six were Chinese companies, two were American companies, one was German, and another was Danish. According to 2023 data, Enphase Energy was the most successful company with a gross margin of 46.2%, a ROA value of 13.7%, a ROFA value of 79.4%, and a ROE value of 48.5%. It was observed that Enphase Energy showed a consistent profitability performance in the 5-year interval. In the 5-year interval, Siemens Energy made a loss in 4 periods, First Solar made a loss in 2 periods, and Vestas Wind made a loss in 1 period. Based on the ROA results, Daqo New Energy and Enphase Energy were the companies that used their assets the most efficiently. The ROE results showed that two companies made a loss in 2023, three companies made a loss in 2022, and one made a loss in 2021, 2020, and 2019. It was determined that the profitability levels and profit margin ranges of the examined renewable energy companies were variable. It is believed that in addition to operating profitability, other sources of the revenues and costs of companies also affect their net profit margins. It is recommended that other factors that affect the profitability of companies be investigated. |
