Özet
Oghuz people have an important place among the Turkish tribes. Turks have been divided into many tribes, tribes and communities throughout their history due to the necessity of nomadic life. The biggest branch of these is the Oghuz people. In terms of population, Oghuz people are the most numerous. Kipchaks, on the other hand, are geographically spread over the widest area. The Turkish language has been shaped according to the dialect spoken by these two tribes throughout history and today. Although there are many dialects of Turkish, the most spoken are Oghuz and Kipchak dialects. Those of the Oghuz who became Muslims took the name Turkmen, and later almost all of them became Muslims. These Turkmens constituted the majority of the Turks who conquered Anatolia. After the Victory of Manzikert in 1071, thousands of Turkmens flocked to Anatolia via Iran and the Caucasus. XIII. The Mongol invasion in the 19th century caused a second Turkmen migration. XVI. In the century, most of the south, north and west of Anatolia was filled with Turkmens. We can see more of the Oghuz/Turkmen tribes, tribes and communities that came to Anatolia, especially Kastamonu, from the census studies carried out since 1478, that is, during the Ottoman period. In this study, XVI. The existence of the Oghuz/Turkmen tribes in Kastamonu, mentioned in the 19th century sources, and their places of settlement will be discussed.
