Özet
Nine populations of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) sampled from the Western Blacksea Region of Turkey, were grouped by seedling morphological distance and cluster analysis. For that purpose, the number of cotyledon, the lengths of epicotyl and hypocotyl, as well as seedling height, root-collar diameter, number of branches, stem and root dry weights were measured on 2-month old, and one-year old seedlings chosen randomly. The differences among the populations for the characteristics of one-year old seedlings were larger than 2-month old seedlings. For instance, while epicotyl length varied between 11.9 and 15.3 mm (difference was 11%), stem dry weight varied between 164.3 and 256.6 mg (56%) among populations. Morphological distance among populations varied between 0.297 and 5.288. Based on cluster analysis, the Ankara-Yenice, Kastamonu-Ballidağ and Adapazari-Dokurcun populations …
