| Özet |
| Human life is very important and valuable of all things. The needed duration of a person to join the labour force, education and upbringing costs are not estimated. The loss of value that an occupational accident or illness causes is so high that it can not be compared with preventing cost. It was aimed to emphasize the importance and necessity of taking precautions by the way of putting forth the economic costs caused by occupational accidents and illnesses, especially in agricultural and other sectors in Turkey. The average cost of occupational accidents for the agricultural sector was $7.250, $3.996 for other sectors and $4.011 for whole sectors. As a result, an agricultural occupational accident costs 81% more than other sectors. |
