| Tourism is an economic event that provides a balance between natural, social, cultural and economic values. It is a sector that leads to recognition of other communities and individuals. In Turkey, the draw of tourism is primarily the sun in the summer; tourism is perceived as a type of triangle formed by the sea and sand. In recent years, in rural areas of Turkey, rural tourism has been adopted as a new approach that shows rapid progress. The rapid progress is what makes rural tourism be included in the regional analysis. Rural tourism must say that talking about the importance of making the regional analysis. This study examines the status of rural tourism areas and aims to determine the existing and potential rural tourism value of Kastamonu by the GIS method.
