| Özet |
| This study examines the dynamics shaping women’s participation in overnight hiking in Türkiye, drawing on the Socio-Ecological Model (SEM) and principles of feminist governance. Based on semi-structured interviews with eleven women, the findings reveal how individual motivations, interpersonal support, community belonging, and sociopolitical factors jointly influence engagement in nature-based recreation. Participants described personal transformation, emotional resilience, and solidarity as key enablers, while gendered labor expectations, infrastructural limitations, safety concerns, and unequal access to resources served as barriers.
