| Özet |
| The fruits, ripened and collected at a certain season, loose their quality and freshness due to several factors as result of improper technology utilization and consequently have negative impacts over economy of the country. Keeping nutritious values, prevention of diseases and conservation of freshness all the time will only be possible with the construction and utilization of proper storage facilities. Although the Province of Karaman has a high potential of apple production, cold air storages are not sufficient and there is a need for more modern and larger capacity storages. In this study, literature review was performed about apple storages and necessary environmental conditions and design criteria to meet the required storage conditions were specified for apple storages to be built in the Province of Karaman |
