Özet
Group dynamics in group counseling can be understood by studying therapeutic forces. These forces are; psychological counselor, acceptance by the group, trust in the group, attractiveness of the group, expectations, belonging to the group, client’s readiness, commitment, attendance, taking responsibility, openness, feedback, therapeutic tension, group members and stages of the group. Among these forces, psychological counselor is a concrete and important force who is active as a professional and also an individual in helping formation of other therapeutic forces, organizing and leading the group. In this article, psychological counselor’s position in the group processes is emphasized according to his/her roles, functions, leadership as a group leader; leadership style as a professional; personality and traits as an individual.
