Özet
Environmental problems, which include continuous dynamic structure and change, needs continuous observation to produce true policies and environmental education must equally be in a dynamic structure as those problems. Thus, Environmental Knowledge Levels and Environmental Attitudes of 604 8th grade students who study in 11 different secondary schools in the city of Kastamonu have been researched in this study. It has been researched whether the relation between environmental knowledge and environmental attitudes, gender and socioeconomic levels are distinctive factors for knowledge and attitudes. According to the results of this study, it was found that there is a relation between knowledge and attitude, and that female students not only have better knowledge of environment but they are more sensitive to environment compared to male students, and socioeconomic level has an effect on knowledge level but it has no significant effect on attitudes.
