| Özet |
| Devices used in power systems are designed to operate at their rated voltages. Variations in the terminal voltages of synchronous generators can shorten the life of these devices. To eliminate these variations, synchronous generators are equipped with Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) systems that regulate the excitation currents. The design of controllers used in AVR systems is an important issue for system performance. In this study, PID-AVR and FOPIDAVR systems were designed using the Artificial Ecosystem based Optimization (AEO) algorithm developed with the Fitness Distance Balance (FDB) method. The designed systems were compared with similar studies in the literature in terms of step response and frequency response. The analysis results showed the superiority of the performances of the PID and FOPID controller AVR systems designed with the FDB-AEO algorithm. |
